A leading healthcare provider sought to enhance user well-being with an innovative web and mobile chat application. The project aimed to create an app that supports multiple interaction methods—audio, video, and text—while prioritizing data privacy by keeping personally identifiable information (PII) securely on users’ devices. The application also needed to provide personalized recommendations for activities, such as exercises, based on the user’s stress, anxiety, and mood levels, with adaptive messaging tone. To tackle these challenges, Datwave developed an advanced platform using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. The project utilized Scrum events and weekly stakeholder meetings, including consultations with doctors, to gather feedback and refine the solution. The platform integrated Gemini Pro API to deliver human-like responses through sophisticated prompting strategies. Built on an event-driven cloud architecture with Pub/Sub and Cloud Functions, the solution ensured low end-to-end latency and robust monitoring capabilities. The Flutter application was seamlessly integrated with Firebase (Auth and Real-Time Database) for secure cloud access. After implementation, the application was successfully tested and launched across Web, Android, and iOS platforms. Over 65% of testers rated the AI Agent’s responses as helpful, with scores above 6 out of 10. The AI Agent effectively detected mood and topic changes, adapting the tone and structure of its responses to enhance user interaction. Furthermore, the app saw high engagement, with most active users sending at least one text message daily.
