In collaboration with domo.health and Google Cloud, Datwave supported the development of a pioneering Voice AI Agent specifically tailored to the Swiss healthcare sector. Integrated into the domo.health PRO platform, this solution leverages a cutting-edge Agentic Architecture and the Gemini Live API to transform administrative and operational workflows. By allowing healthcare professionals to retrieve relevant and consolidated clinical data from various sources, the project sets a new benchmark for practical, responsible AI in the medical field.

CHALLENGE

Homecare professionals in Switzerland are increasingly overwhelmed by administrative burdens, ranging from team coordination, complex clinical assessments and medication follow-ups to billing. These manual tasks often pull focus away from direct patient care, creating a need for a more intuitive way to manage documentation and distributed data sources. The primary obstacle was building a system capable of handling real-time multilingual translation and transcription documentation and sensitive clinical protocols while ensuring absolute traceability and adherence to strict Swiss data protection laws.

our solution

Datwave contributed to the technical implementation of an Agentic Architecture built on Google Cloud’s Vertex AI platform. The Gemini Live API was used to create a voice-first interface that allows caregivers to “debrief” after visits or retrieve patient summaries from multiple sources using natural language. This architecture coordinates several specialized AI agents across clinical data and documentation streams, ensuring that all information is linked to its source and every action requires human confirmation. To meet legal requirements, the entire solution is hosted in Switzerland, providing a secure and compliant environment for medical data.

Results

The implementation has successfully reduced the cognitive load on outpatient care by making voice the primary interface for the domo.health PRO ecosystem. By providing a transparent “thinking partner” that draws directly from managed clinical data, the solution has improved the speed and accuracy of care coordination while maintaining the professional caregiver as the final decision-maker in every interaction.
